THE PURPOSE OF MORAGA NEIGHBORHOOD EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Is to provide reliable information to individual neighborhoods in order for residents to prepare for and react to emergency situations, i.e. earthquake, fire, etc.
BECAUSE MORAGA IS AN ISOLATED COMMUNITY
It is extremely important that our neighbors are organized to take care of themselves and each other for 7 days or more. Organized neighborhoods will be better able to react to disaster, natural or man-made.
MORAGA IS ORGANIZING DURING 2009
Moraga NEP has a lead role in the organization of Moraga residents into functional neighborhood units. This will enable the neighborhoods to work together during emergencies to ensure the safety of family and neighbors. Implementation of this plan requires the involvement and cooperation of residents at the neighborhood level.

Disaster Preparedness Tip: Family First
Check your child's school Web site or call the school office to request a copy of the school's emergency plans. Keep a copy at home and work.
Learn where the safe places are in your home for each type of disaster. Learn about the disaster plans at your business, your child's school or daycare center, or other places where you and your family spend time.
