On October 19, 2024, Lamorinda CERT assisted the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District at their Open House. LMO CERT provided a BullEx fire training unit that uses water based extinguishers to put out a propane fed fire pan. This is an excellent way to teach kids and their parents how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Here is the Thank You email sent from ConFire:
I would like to extend the district’s gratitude and thanks to your crew for the amazing work they did on Saturday, October 19th.
Todd, you were so positive and amazing to work with, please extend our gratitude and thanks to the gentlemen that assisted you on this day. I’m sorry I don’t remember their names, I’m horrible with that.
We have nothing but positive feedback about the Fire Extinguisher booth and the kids loved helping their parents put out fires.
Just to give you some stats, we did a head count as people walked in and we had 755 guests attend the Open House. From my understanding that number beats any of our pre-covid events. We could not have had such a successful event without your organization’s support and the wonderful work you provided on that day.
We hope to do even better next year and we look forward to working with you in the future.
Please have a Happy & Safe Halloween and if you need anything from us, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Noell Crosse
