Classes are offered at various venues around Lamorinda, several times each year.
In class you will learn with hands-on training. We teach you how to apply tourniquets, wound packing, and chest seals. These skills will allow you to stop the flow of blood in the torso, extremities, and junctional areas (shoulders, hips, groin, etc.). Our training mannequins and aids include both adult and pediatric sizes so you will learn how to save children as well as grownups.
We offer 2.5 hour classes. Space in all classes is extremely limited.
Stop the Bleed classes are hosted by Lamorinda CERT Foundation, not Lamorinda CERT or MOFD. These classes include American College of Surgeons’ and Department of Defense national protocols plus additional, advanced bleeding control procedures.
